Necropolis

The Necropolis is what the locals call the abandoned area where everyone starts out -- not that characters will know about this quaint little nickname at first. It's a largish area, largely commercial, but showing signs that, before it was abandoned, it was in the process of being converted into a residential area. Along the borders, you can see where several commercial buildings have been converted into apartments. There's even a graveyard.

There are quite a few vacant lots and half-destroyed buildings, which make excellent places to practice with one's tarot card.

It's actually a rather safe area, home to the Parlor, and the Upright and Reversed compounds.
